What is the minimum amount I can pay to use Virgin Mobile USA?
Light users of the service may find that they use less than the minimum amount of voice, text and data on their accounts. If you use less than the minimum of these items with Virgin Mobile USA, you will be required to pay a minimum payment every 90 days to keep your service active.
If you pay for service manually, either over the phone, with online methods or with Top Up cards, Virgin Mobile USA requires you to add $20 (+ taxes) to your account every 90 days.
If you use Virgin Mobile's Auto Top Up feature and provide Virgin Mobile USA with a credit card, a debit card or a Paypal account to charge for future usage, you will be required to add just $15 (+ taxes) to your account every 90 days.
Using the plan that has a credit/debit card or a Paypal account associated with the account, and the account is set to auto top-up for $15 (+ taxes) every 90 days; the usage fees are 20¢/min talk, 15¢/text message (sent or received), 25¢/picture message, and $1.50 for 1 MB or 24 hours of data service until that $15 is used up.
Any remaining balance is rolled-over at the end of the 90-day period, but a top-up is required to maintain active service. Rolled-over monetary values accumulate up to $400 and can be used to purchase ringtones, screensavers, text plans, and even new phones.
