this does not seem to work

i look in the storage card folders ie that i created cookies and history and cache and they are empty and the folders in the my device \ windows \ cookies and history are still growing and freezing up my machine.

Agreed, this does not work. I have done this on my i-mate JAMin with April 6 2006 ROM and nothing appears in the new folders after resetting and browsing.

Further investigation reveals that the internet cache is in fact sitting in Windows\Temporary Internet Files - not in the Windows\Profiles\Guest folder as indicated in the article. There is a set of cache folder there as well, but only with a few items in them, not the full cache-load
