Basics
The HTC Artemis has the same OMAP 850 microprocessor as the HTC Wizard and HTC Prophet. It is similar in form-factor to the HTC Prophet in that it does not have a QWERTY keyboard.
In summary, it has:
- Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 5.0 PDA Phone with instant access to your emails.
- Standalone GPS and some models come with installed TomTom NAVIGATOR® 6 software.
- Full range of connectivity with GSM/GPRS, Bluetooth® 2.0 and Wi-Fi®.
- FM Radio for the latest news and entertainment on the go.
- HTC RollR™ (Trackball/Trackwheel) for easy viewing and navigation.
- A 1.9 megapixel camera.

How To:
- Move TomTom to an external memory card.[10]
- Charge the Artemis and listen to the supplied headset at the same time. Use an HTC TyTN Y Cable.[11]
- Plug in a common 3.5mm headphone set. Use an HTC Stereo Converter[12] or an HTC S620 Audio Jack Converter.[13]
- Overclock the CPU. One way is to download the excellent and free today-plugin "BatteryStatus", install it and follow directions at the web site.[14]
- Press a button to toggle the screen off while listening to Windows Media Player. Install the free program, "ScreenLock for Pocket PC".[15] Reassign a button to activate "Screenlock".
- Set up a convenient (and free) screen rotation tool. Install cLaunch[16], RotateSE270[17], and RotateSE[18]. Use cLaunch to place rotation program icons on the today screen.
- If you use TomTom NAVIGATOR 6, there is an HTC Artemis update here. [19]

Known Bugs
- Data on the storage card periodically becomes corrupted.[20]
