Guide: Virginize Baseband 03.14.08 G
From HowardForums Wiki
You dont need a computer for this method but you will need the installer.app isntalled connected to WiFi recommended not Edge.
Did you unlock your phone with old firmware and want to update to v1.1.1?! Your phone needs to be repaired first! GeeZuZz has set up the "world's first" fully automatic "virginizer" (using Elite Team's loader and Dev Team's exectuable) that will fix the phone for you in less than 5 minutes!
If you have an unlocked 1.0.2 iPhone, or upgraded to 1.1.1 and have "damaged" imei (0049) you need to repair your phone. I have now put together the ultimate repair solution - this is the absolutely easiest way to repair the phones (virginize). To do so, just add http://i.unlock.no/ as a Source in Installer, make sure BSD Subsystem is installed (else it's in the System category) and install The Virginizer found in the Unlocking Tools category. There's two versions, use the one corresponding to your Modem firmware. And remember, you got it here first!
IMPORTANT Do not use this script if your baseband firmware is 04.01.13_G (main firmware version does not matter) - check this in Settings - General - About. Theres a script in the works that support this one two, but right now you must manually downgrade first to 03.x, then you can use the script.
How to "Virginize" your phone:
Ignore all long and complex tutorials - GeeZuZz has setup a fully automatic script that will repair the phone so that you can upgrade it.
1. Set Settings → General → Auto Lock → Never 2. Make sure Modem firmware is 03.14.08_G. Check this in Settings → General → About. 3. Start Installer and update it if it asks. Tap on Sources, Edit, and Add http://i.unlock.no/ as a repository. 4. Make sure you have BSD Subsystem installed, if not, go to System category and install it. 5. Now, install The Virginizer found in the Unlocking Tools category. This will take about 3-5 minutes to complete.
Only use if you never updated to 1.1.1 before! (that means, only use if your Modem firmware is 03.14.08_G. Check this in Settings → General → About).
If the script completed without any errors, it's 99% sure it's working.
Now upgrade to 1.1.1. Then check if your IMEI is correct (with a sim inserted). If it's correct everything is fine.
