Guide: Foreign Languages on 1.1.1 and Fix to customize icon order in 1.1.1

Ok, for those of you who want to type in other languages on the iphone with out updating here is the fix for you or fixing the bug that wont let you change icon orders for the next pages of icons on the springboard.

First you will need the following:

• • • SSH *Both on the iphone and computer*
    • Wifi
    • Windows/Mac/Linux*If it has compatible ssh programs*
    • Text editor if your SSH program wont let you edit .txt files or files that can be edited that way
    • Installer
    • Customize
    • Patience

Now to the good parts: After you have everything, you can proceed with the process. You first have to login into your iphone, go to the root area(place where everything is) and go to system/library/coreservices/springboard.app/M68AP.plist. Then you edit it with the text editor or built in one and to get the keyboard to type in other languages and you find international and under it where it says false type true,DON'T delete the things around it just the word. Reboot and got to settings/general/keyboard and enable the ones you would like.

To fix the icons go to the same place and go down to where it says "thirdparty" or "extended"(for some) and then cut and paste them under "display order" and then make sure you don't delete any of the symbols or else it will corrupt your screen and you will have to use the back up M68AP.plist.old file. MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP THAT FILE SOME WHERE!!!!!! just delete the ".old" extension when you rename it and reboot and open customize and save the list as is no changes yet, then start over. Once you did that enjoy your customizable icon order.
