Guide: AppSnapp, Activate, Fix YouTube, Unlock. Mac & Windows
This guide is for virgin or iPhone that have been virginized and are running firmware version 1.1.1. Make sure you iPhone is plugged into your computer when running these steps with itunes closed.

If you iPhone is not activated use these steps. If you iPhone is already activated start at step 13.

First we need to get to safari:
1. Slide to reach the emergency dial screen
2. enter *#307# and then press call
3. Your phone will ring itself, erase the numbers you dialed, press 0 and hit call again then answer
4. Press "hold" now and your phone will start ringing again
5. Press "Decline" and your phone will go into the contacts/dial screen
6. Add a contact with a without a name and "Add new URL" as: prefs: now hit save on the top left.
7. Now go to "Add new URL" as: jailbreakme.com then save it. Then save the contact.
8. Click on that contacts URL: home page (should be prefs:)
9. Now you should be at the settings menu here connect to your WiFI connecting. Once your phone is connected write down the IP address of the phone. and settings > Wi-Fi > "Your selected WiFi" > Click on the blue arrow to the right of your WiFi and Look under IP Address. (I turn off my security on my WiFI when doing this)
10. Now set the iPhone Auto-Lock to "Never". General>Auto-Lock>"Never" (I would leave the iPhone pluged in so the battery doesn't die.)
11. Now push the home button on the iPhone and it should take you back to the activation screen. Slide to get to the emergency screen and dial 0 this time and hit call, then hold, then decline.
12. Now open the contact you saved and touch the URL "jailbreakme.com". The safari browser should open with the jailbreakme.com site.
13.Once there, read the directions, scroll to the bottom, and tap Install AppSnapp. If Safari disappears and you return to the main Home screen, you're good. Just wait it could take up to 5 minutes for your iPhone to restart. Dont touch anything. **Note If AppSnapp doesnt restart the iPhone within 5 minutes try again, if that doesnt work restore your iPhone using iTunes with firmware 1.1.1 and try again.
14. Once you restart your iPhone you'll return to your home screen which will contain a new Installer.app icon with the Community Sources installed by default. And YouTube should be working.
15. Update installer. app on your iPhone if needed.
16. If your going to unlock or install 3rd party apps using the installer.app make sure these apps are installer on your iPhone. Install BSD subsystem, Community Sources.

Fixing YouTube
This is a alternative method incase AppSnapp doesnt fix your YouTube.

If this script doesnt work for you use the following method to fix youtube.
Windows users will need to install WinSCP: http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=winscp&filename=winscp405setup.exe&use_mirror=superb-east
Install WinSCP from the download package on top of this page. When installing selected "Typical Install" then "Norton Commander interface". Then you will need to restart your computer. After the restart stop the processes iTunesHelper.exe in your task manager also iTunes if its running.
Mac users will need to install CyberDuck: http://cyberduck.ch/Cyberduck-2.8.dmg
1. Next start up WinSCP or Cyber Duck and Connect to your iPhone using WinSCP (user: root password: alpine)
- Note: connecting for the first time using SSH might take up to 1 minute.
2. Now download these file to fix your YouTube: http://sharebee.com/aca1f60a OR http://rapidshare.com/files/66410718/Activation_Youtube_1.1.1.zip.html
3. Just upload youtube certificate files (data_ark.plist, device_private_key.pem and device_public_key.pem) to /var/root/Library/Lockdown/
4. Restart your iPhone.
Alternative Activation if AppSnapp doesnt activate your iPhone

2. Download this patched 1.1.1 lockdownd file: http://sharebee.com/12980175 OR http://rapidshare.com/files/66302052/lockdownd_1.1.1.zip.html
3. Now go to this directory on your iPhone file system. >usr>libexec Backup the lockdownd file in that directory if you plan to activate your iPhone with AT&T.
4. Now replace the lockdownd file on your iPhone with the one you downlaoded.
5. Restart your iPhone. It should be activated.
Your iPhone should now be jailbroken, Activated and YouTube should be working.
If you want to unlock your iPhone follow these steps below:
Unlocking
Before unlocking your iPhone make your iPhone is set to "Never" Auto-Lock.
1. Open installer and update it to latest version if you haven't already.
2. Restart Installer 3
3. Click on "Sources"
4. Edit (top right)
5. Add (left)
6. Type: http://i.unlock.no/
7. enter
8. It will install the AnySim option
9. Refresh sources
10.Go back to "Install" and look under "Unlocking Tools" to find and install AnySim 1.1
11.You can run anySIM 1.1 without a sim card in the iPhone.
11.After you use AnySim to unlock, uninstall both anysim and the new source
Now your iPhone should be unlocked.
