This is for windows and mac users.

This will downgrade you frimware 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 not your baseband it will stay at 04.02.13_G. This will not unlock your iPhone (new anySIM for baseband 04.02.13_G, also jailbreak method for firmware 1.1.2 will be out soon)

This method was used with iTunes 7.4 which you can google for it if you don't already have it. And with US iPhones.

1. First, download firmware 1.1.1. Here: http://depositfiles.com/files/2325546 OR http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/iPhone/061-3883.20070927.In76t/iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw

2. Now, lets get started. Firstly, connect your 1.1.2 iPhone to the your computer and open iTunes. Press and hold the home and power buttons until the iPhone goes into recovery mode. In iTunes, hold the shift key(windows) or the key(mac) and press the "Restore" button, browse to the iPhone 1.1.1 Firmware file you downloaded earlier and press ok

Near the end iTunes will give you a "1015" error. Ignore this. The iPhone will restart to the 1.1.1 restore screen with the iTunes logo on it. Run the AppTapp Installer (Windows) or iNdependence (MAC) to the the iPhone out of restore mode and back to the activation screen.

Windows AppTapp v0.92: http://www.nullriver.com/~adam/AppTappInstaller.exe **Note: Select 1.0.2 in AppTapp when it ask you what firmware version you have.

Mac iNdependence v1.2.5: http://independence.googlecode.com/files/iNdependence_v1.2.5.dmg

    • Note:In order to kick the phone out of that mode I just had to launch iNdependence version 1.2.5 and wait a minute or so.

Now that you iPhone is back to 1.1.1 you can follow either one of these guides to jailbreak/activate

    • Note anySIM 1.1 will not unlock the new baseband 04.02.13_G.
