Installer.app Repository
How do I add the needed repository in Installer?
Answer
- Once you are using the latest version of Installer app (Version 3.0 beta), install Community Sources, then go to Sources at the bottom right, Click edit at the top right corner, and then click add at the top right corner and type in the url of the repo. After adding it, hit Refresh at the top left.
There isn't a Safari Plugin yet for version 3.0 at the moment.
- If you are using the old Installer 2.0, you can just enter the url in Safari, since there is a plugin.
Note: You must add this source to find the virginize scripts and Anysim 1.1 in Installer.
Done with Jailbreak and Unlock...what now?
What do I do after I'm done with the jailbreak and the unlock?

First thing to do is go back into Installer and install Community Sources, BSD Subsystem (if you haven't already), and Summerboard. Installer is your main source of 3rd party applications. A good read:
Suggested apps: ToDoList, Appolo IM, SendSong, Services, Navizon, Sodoku, iflickr, iSplit, Customize, Sketches, weDict + Merriam Webster, and Labyrinth. These apps have been tested to work in 1.1.1.

If you are using 1.1.1, do not mess around with the image changing option in Customize app, it could severely mess up your iPhone to the point of having to restore it. You can use rSBT (icon location) within customize, though, without issues.

Ringtones
How do I get free ringtones on my iPhone?
Answer
On both v1.02 and v1.1.1, you can use Sendsong app to send a song to ringtones. After a sync, you must go back into Sendsong and click a song and click Post-sync restore.
Another method can be found.
iPhone expert reports that no modifications are necessary to add ringtones to iPhones running iPhone v1.1.2 and iTunes 7.5. "Take any m4a file, thirty-seconds or less (although some report success with tracks up to 40 seconds), rename it to m4r and double-click to add it to iTunes. The file appears in your ringtones and can be synched to the phone."
Cases
What do you recommend as a case?
Answer
I don't recommend any cases, but films that will protect the front and back from scratches and smudges. High quality ones can be found Make sure to use the exact amount of water and soap asked for. This film is great because it feels good, looks like there isn't a case, and prevents smudges!
The InvisibleShield, BestSkinsEver, and BodyGuardz full body films also work great too.
OpenSSH
I Installed openSSH, what does it do?
Answer
OpenSSH allows you to use WinSCP or terminal to SSH into your phone. If you installed openSSH, make sure to use either usbtl or Services app to turn off SSH when not in use, SSH will drain your battery.
Revirginization
After virginizing my old 1.02 iPhone, updated to v1.1.1, the jailbreakme.com method doesn't work!
Solution
You may have to do a full restore on the iPhone again. Many users report that it doesn't work after the initial update, but after a full restore, it works. If that still fails, restore again, and use one of the alternative jailbreaking methods.
