CDMA Technology
From HowardForums Wiki
CDMA sucks. well, it's not that the CDMA protocol is bad, it's just that the phones offered to CDMA subscribers are far below the GSM standards. Add to that the fact you have to contact your provider to change phones with a built in ESN(basically a phone's MAC address)and that they can turn your phone permanently into a worthless brick whenever they want, and you have a losing combination of expensive and worthless phones that can't be used on any other network and have poor resale value. On the upside, in building penetration of signal is very good. The technology is spread-spectrum so less transmission power is required, and your batteries can theoretically at least, last longer. -jason
